Description
THE 131 Cubic Inch Kit from Leading Edge V-Twin is the newest offering of our technology. This motor has a 4.250 inch bore on a 4.625 Inch stroke for a total displacement of 131.223 cubic inches. Our kit differs from the competitors kit in that we are achieving the displacement with stroke and bore, not just bore. The other kits on the market employs a 4.310 inch bore on a stock stroke. That bore leaves you with a dangerously thin sleeve for the piston to ride in.
The Leading Edge 131ci is a large bore and stroke kit for use any of Harley-Davidson’s Milwaukee Eight engine platforms. The engine cases do not require any modification.
Included items in the 131ci kit are: Flywheel assembly, cylinders, pistons, upgraded roller bearing on the output side, new roller bearing on pinion side, cam bearing, choice of cam, lifters, pushrods, and all the necessary gaskets and seals an inluded.

Pistons
Our pistons are made of our proprietary design by CP Carillo. They are balanced and come with Total Seal rings.
Rods
Our balanced rods are also made of our proprietary design by CP Carillo. Due to our design these rods are far stronger than stock while being significantly lighter.
Cylinders
Our cylinders are made in the USA from aerospace-grade billet aluminum. Our radically different fin design results in far more efficient air cooling. A traditional fin design dissipates heat that is then pushed away as the air passes. Our design turns the cylinder body into an active cooling system. Inside the cylinders reside a Ductile Iron sleeve that is centrifugally forged right here in the United States.
Crank
Our Flywheels are static balanced, assembled and then dynamically balanced allowing us to eliminate the stock counterbalancing system. We also use a proprietary crank pin that does not allow the flywheels to scissor. This design is so inherently strong that it eliminates any need to weld the flywheels.
Cam
There are many cam choices. We have a mild torque cam as well as a mild horsepower cam. For optimal performance We have an aggressive torque cam along with an aggressive horsepower cam. Each of these cam choices are key to the various LE 131ci characteristics and horsepower/torque. We can suggest a cam that will work best for you based on your specific riding style.
Main Bearings
We install a new upgraded roller bearing on the output side, and a new factory bearing on the pinion side.
Tappets
We use precision-machined tappets that have been specifically designed to work well with each our high-performing cam grinds. Our hydraulic roller design also optimizes oil flow to the top end of the engine.
Adjustable Push Rods
Our adjustable tapered push rods are made from Chromoly. They are proprietarily designed to be extremely rigid while also being very lightweight.
Oiling system modification
We upgrade all oil pumps and cam plates to the S&S pump and plate. The S&S pump employs a dual scavenging system, that has a dedicated set of return gerotors for the crank case, and one for the cam chest. This design maintains proper oil levels in both of those chambers minimizing loss of power from excessive fluid being present. This in conjunction with our proprietary cylinder design makes the oil temperatures drop 15-20% in the oil tank.
